Retold (SERE001) is now sold out. We may get a few more copies in if stock is returned from distributors or retailers over time. Keep an eye out because this title is now very scarce.
The long wait is finally over, Nest / Retold is officially out today. Pre-orders shipped yesterday and it's now possible to buy both MP3 and FLAC versions of the album via the release page. The album has already received a lot of high praise and I'm really grateful to everyone who's taken the time to review it, blog about it and tweet about it.
Press for Retold:
* Boomkat album of the week // "a masterpiece within its field"
* Norman Records album of the week // "beautifully stormy, grand & strangely bleak"
* Fluid Radio album of the week // "the album is superb and comes highly recommended"
* Tokafi // "[Roberts and Totland] have actually managed to increase the magic of the past"
* Textura // "A web-like drift of rich instrumental sound"

throughout the years, wandering between luring sounds of type, miasmah, hefty, erased and others, i think i finally found what i was searching for..
ok it might sound a bit exaggerated, but i just wanted to share my enthusiasm with SERE001, and what a debut it is, i was hoping that first Nest would get well deserved attention
in anyway, keep the talent flow mr. Huw, we need it :)

Sorry I haven't ordered this, Huw. My life's been somewhat crazy over the past few months. I'll be buying Nest and pre-ordering the Olan Mill album next week, when I get paid.

I haven't commented on this one yet. I found Nest on Last.fm while browsing my free recommendations a couple years ago. There was not much information about them there; only a small collection of tracks. Later I would discover that this was a stripped-down version of the current Retold release up for listening for the longest time and I used to listen all of the time to that album from its page, which I had bookmarked. I was so affected by the moods created by pieces such as the phenomenal Kyoto... even at a lower quality version. It did not matter. The pieces were unbelievably infectious and it quickly became a favourite over that year. Then not so long ago, to my wonderful surprise, the album was re-released with a couple more tracks and a revision and I bought it the day of release in digital format from Boomkat. I had to have it. Now I had the higher quality sounds in my head and I could hear immediately that this is something I must have on my bookshelf to refer to for many years to come. I've recently ordered the CD and I know it will have a special place on our shelf for many winters. This is coming from a person who is extremely picky about ordering compact discs these days. Congratulations on a most infectious work of immense depth and longing which I cannot describe in mortal words. Beautiful and timeless.

Thank you Jason and everyone else I haven't thanked personally for your kind words on this release. It means a lot to Otto and myself that it's been so well received. Hopefully we'll have more music to share with you soon!
